It's not bad enough that Katrina stormed out of the room, ripping, snorting mad, danger simmering in her dark eyes, throwing things aside in her sudden display of fury -
Rita, her little sister, unobserved under the bed, was watching with keen interest - she, who wanted to do everything that big sister did, learned her lesson well.
She's on the exact same path Katrina was on, and will be remembered for the stress she is causing for those who are living along an already storm weary coastline.

Hon, I'd be scared outa my wits! Hope you have an escape plan, otherwise batten down dem hatches. I know what it's like in bushfire season here, scares the tripe outa me.
The little sister is always more notorious.. But there are some exceptions. Hope Rita will not misbehave as badly as her elder sister.

Karla I'm keeping you and Karen in prayer! I can just imagine how you feel hearing the reports of it heading for Texas. I pray a hedge of protection over Texas! Your poem is fantastic and brings the pic to life! Keep the faith!
Sobering reminders of nature's fury. I think that Rita will have a far better prepared coastline when/if she makes an appearance.. You see, when big sister made her debut, Rita wasn't the only one watching in earnest...

Time to do some carpet time, I reckon, Karla... I'm not too proud to beg! :)) I don't want to clutter the page with airy-fairy thoughts from one who is sooo very far away from the danger... I treat this as "holy ground", your space as one who "knows" and seeming to be above Ed, here, who has just returned exhausted from serving in Mississippi. But I know for certain sure that things HAPPEN when peeps pray, so THAT'S where my energy will go, Karla. Bless you and stay safe; forewarned is forearmed, I think. LOL and prayers - great allegory, BTW. I hope Little Sis's temperament is wholly different... Kate xx
