Poem Artwork

Sniffin' 'round the Caribbean
like a dog in heat,
the oul' biddy cannot decide
which way to go:
Do I follow what went before
or blaze a new trail
of total and complete annihilation?

(God I hope she doesn't take
the awful path
that her older sisters took,
or the ones
her aunts and uncles cruised last year.)

Don't want to hear
Freddie yelling for his WILLLMAAAAAAAA!
or find Dino
wandering lost amid the rubble.
They need a break,
those living along the Southern states,
and this year, the
laugh track to their lives is worn thin.

(c) 2005, Karla Dorman.

So clever, so timely, so easy to relate. Also a reminder of those who still need help from "the two older sisters" Katrina and Rita.
blessin's Sis Karla,

Love it! This storm is destroying my vacation! I'm supposed to be in the Yucatan on Friday! Don't know if that will happen... We're watching anxiously... Wish she would just peter out somewhere deep in the Atlantic where she won't bother anyone!

What worries me is that THEY are so damned positive it is going to veer sharply to the east. Sure. Hope. So. Good work here.
