105 degrees yesterday. The lows no better, low 80s. Maybe...just MAYBE...some relief by the weekend.

Poem Artwork

Draw a last
breath of refridgerated
air into
the sacs of lungs that
once held life.
Drink a last
bit of liquid refreshment
and let it
seep slowly through your
stubborn pride.
Go outside
for just a second and watch
yourself sweat
away to nothing ...
zapped by heat.

Wheww...Karla...I guess!
Even here in Wisconsin, I get zapped, but...what is worse...when
I step outside, I see hundreds of my garden flowers zapped as well.
Seems if they are to stay alive, I have to endure some outdoor heat
with hose in hand!
