The heat is the bain of man's selfushness with nature. Unfortunately we all pay for the selfish and crude ones. I wish you moist and cool rain in a steady pour until man and all the creatures and flora are hydrated and healthy again.

The heat waves are rising temperatures and tempers everywhere and it is affecting peoples lifes in ways no one expected. All we can do to survive is learn to adapt, how, I still don't know. Perhaps it will come to working nights and sleeping days, this was suggested at my workplace once as a solution. Good write ladies.

Great imagery you two! Very atmospheric and evocative, and truly conjures that sense of both despair and longing. Can so identify with the sense that only bodily moisture prevails... and that is not always the most comfortable or desirable sort. Provokes all sorts of disquiet and disturbance. Very well penned.
