Not my best poetry, but this is what Karen and I did today! I can think of better ways of passing time ... LOL
Severe storms again: a regular occurance 'specially this year. Very few times is a "high risk" forecast issued -- two in last two weeks! the sky bubbling black -- clouds ugliest I have seen, rotating, hanging l o w, frequent lightning, very high winds, tornado warnings were issued -- twin sister and I hiding in the shelter of local hospital -- Code Black issued--that means TAKE COVER on lowest floor, interior halls, as many walls between the storm and you as possible ... not a fun way to spend an afternoon. the storm, now gone, everything good here. not so in other parts of the Metroplex, but where we are: we're fine. :)

Scary situation, glad to hear you're good. I guess another way to spend an afternoon is by vividly describing your recent turmoil. A deep breath and a breathtaking write-HB
Karla, I've been watching reports in Texas and praying for you guys and everyone there. It really has been terrible,and we can only hope and pray it will soon cease. Awful way to spend the day, but at least you had the shelter to go to!;-)
Saw on the news where severe weather tore through there and my first thoughts were of you and Karen...glad to know that your okay, not this is not my favorite way to spend an evening either!

Seriously the Texas storms are teriffic, I spent half my time using the car as a boat, driving through flash floods. BTW don't fly a kite and use a key during the storm...

Our UK storms are nowhere near as powerful as the ones you experience, to this end I stand in awe of them. As a kid I'd be scared but as an adult I stand at the door watching the rain pounding off the streets of life and listening to the rumbling indegestion above. Awesome.
