We in the Plains States are severe weathered OUT. The obstinant pattern that has resulted in the continual threat and waves of storms will move out by the weekend. THANK GOD! (And thank you for your prayers.)
Will be back by this weekend, God willing and the creek don't rise. :)
If it stormed last night, I don't know: was sound asleep, catching up on rest.
Day after day of storms wears a body out: one has to rest, sometime.
More storms today through Friday, and then sweet relief: the pattern, broken!
I think we are getting your after effects. But we are in need of rain. Strange how some get hit relentlessly and others have drought. Glad your safe Karla!
Once, in Nam, a storm rained hard for days on end, but it was a blessing...not a shot was fired, and we could sleep 37 hours in one go after a week of no sleeping at all back enemy lines.
Sometime storms are a real blessing.

I so feel this, sitting in the totally untouched South West of England... You conjure the atmosphere and trepidation so well, Karla... as well as the longing for that break and welcome relief. I can only relate it by thinking of a "hurricane" camping holiday spent windsurfing on the south-western tip of Sardinia in the Med... I swear I came back deaf after two weeks of unrelenting winds... Needless to say, I gave up windsurfing after that!! :))
