C-c-c-COLD!! Karen HAD to get out of the house, didn't she. Thanks loads. LOL

And to top things off, I ran a nail through my foot. --OW--

Poem Artwork

... winter bit off my fingers.  Chewed them
to nubs, spit those in the ends of my gloves to
discover later.  Hate the cold.  The wind,
a co-conspirator in stealing what little heat
was left, ripping it right off the body.  Might

as well be naked, as chilled as I am.  Where
is the heat?  No amount of clothes helps to
warm me up.  And where are my toes?  they
absconded with them, along with my feet,
said they would make delightful appetizers.

My twin sister didn't want me to cook (not a
bad one, mind you).  Cabin fever, she said,
I've got to get out of the house.  So we did.
That's when I became Winter's main course -
he left Karen alone.  More meat on my bones.

And here they say that fat isn't good for you.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I hate the cold! Lived 14 years in the desert and came back to this! Phew! You said it, sister! Ripped the heat right off my body! Great poem. Thanks for sharing.

Got frostbitten, did ya? I'm sorry, but I still love the winter and the cold. It kills the bugs and re-freshens earth.
Funny write, sorry you suffered.

Well, I would say it still probably did you a world of good to get out, fresh air and all that plus it even inspired this write. We are in the middle on a Noreaster up here and the winds howl as snow, and hail beat down...but I am snug inside with a candle close to my PC just in case.

A nail through the foot - Ouch! But as far as your weather goes, come on up to old Thornwood Manor - we've got about a foot of snow to shovel today, and the arctic wind is howling like a banshee from Hell - a very cold, frozen Hell!

Cute Karla. Cold? You should be here. It's 6 below zero as I write this; never went above 7 degrees all day long; and that was with the sun out in full force. It will probably be 15 below zero by the time I get up at 5 AM to a raging blizzard. Cold? HA! I'll take Texas in the winter any old day.

Karla!

Sorry about my cabin fever, but you know me: can't stay still in one place for long; I get antsy! LOL I also love watching people, visiting people. Just because YOU'RE a "homebody"...LOL NOT! And THEn you have to run a nail in your foot! OW! THAT hurt!! You have a weird sense of humor, had to get to the end for it to connect; once it did, I howled! This is a great (if slightly strange) write; enjoyed!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D
