Nacreous clouds are seen mostly in winter, at high latitudes (Scandinavia, Alaska, Iceland, Northern Canada). They are seldom seen, occuring within two hours after sunset or before dawn. They are sometimes called 'Mother of Pearl' clouds--once visualized, never forgotten.

Wow, you said it well - I wish I had been standing there with Kalinka when she captured that incredible "Pearl of Mother Nature" strung across her Sky!!" The real is sometimes Too beautiful for anyone to Imagine!
