Giant anvils of thunderstorms skim the top of the atmosphere, surging northeast on currents of moisture from the Gulf. They look like ocean liners crossing the seas, signalling one another with flickers of light. They turn orange in the setting sun and then move on - how I wish they'd let me on board ...
Reminds me of a lullaby from "Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang"-- "A gentle breeze from Hush-a-bye Mtn/ softly blows o'er Lullaby bay... And fills the sails of boats that are waiting--waiting to sail your troubles away..." Who knows what dreams they're laden with-- how many of your own dreams you've set stock in arriving on a certain far away ship-- are going over the horizon to be delivered to others instead. --Charlie
