The sun touches my body
with unbearable lightness.
Limbs that were frozen loosen;
the stress that had held me in
bondage melts away under
the sun's caresses - for the
first time in a long while, I
bloom and feel fully - a l i v e.

Old Mr. Sun has the magic touch, Karla. A real oldie but goodie. :)
I am not looking forward to spring: not with the svr wx threat, not with living in Tornado Alley! I wish winter could visit more, stick around a while; it's no wonder so many people here get sick: hot one day, cold the next! Tornadoes/thunder one day, snow/ice the next! CRAZY!! I HATE it!! However, I love your poem; very well penned! BRAVA!
