... (You should have seen the sky!) ....

Poem Artwork

The sky boils, a cauldron
that could rival any witch's
brew.  Clouds curdle, spin
overhead, stirred by purple
bolts of lightning --- thunder
cackles.  Sirensong plays a
melody I had hoped to never
hear again.  The witch laughs
to see such fright.  (You should
have seen the sky!)  Awakened
by storm this Thursday morning:
thought I'd be with Dorothy in Oz!

Click your heels together 3 times and repeat "There's no place like home." Right now you have just described what is happening outside my doors. And penned so well. If the wind blows from the east I could land in Kansas. Excellent. Liz

Frightening, Karla, and you tell it so well. I hope the
witch mounts her broom and flies away SOON. - gene.

The storms seem to be getting more violent around here too. Mostly at night and late afternoons. They don't last long, but while they are going on it is frightening, especially at nights. I am here alone and get quite scared.
