Poem Artwork

Something in the air that hasn't
been seen in a while, clouds --
the grass is an ugly brown, and
not just from winter's paleness.
Been so dry.  Last rain that fell
was two weeks ago:  maybe
by the beginning of next week.
Clouds are a promising start  ...

It's snowing here, Karla! Tired of clouds right now. I remember as kids we used to lay down in the field and find shapes in the clouds, at night in the stars. It was great. The best time I that I like clouds. I guess they have there purpose, though, huh?! Thank you for sharing, Karla. I like reading you....

Bear

By many, clouds are thought of as ominous and people want to chase them away...your poem brought a different message...sometimes we need clouds and rain in our lives--just like we need sunshine.

They told me once that clouds in Texas are made of cotton-candy.
Is that true?
Because I will believe in anything that could make me happy!

And ... you should be warmer down there today. You are right, we have not seen the usual seasonal rains. The air here has been so dry that we have not even had frost. It will be nice to get back to green again. Let's do a rain dance :-)

We've had many days of cold, chills, and snowstorms here in Toronto. Not a good winter. It seems to me that we got hit head on by every snowstorms. Today is a brighter day out there, and much milder. I hope it stays that way next week.

I hope you will see blue sky very soon. Good write, Karla!!!

Clouds are a promising start.

They surely are, and then the rain, and perhaps, even a rainbow at the end!
