People who are not in the military such as me,
have no idea what these heroes have went through
We can only give them our thanks

Karla you speak in a loud clear voice for those veterans who although may have returned in body, they left a part of them back their in the jungles and battle fields.

A well told compassionate poem that wrenches the heart to think those he fought for did not understand his pain nor do they show any empathy, which really is a shame on them! Well done, Karla!

It's sad that for some the war just continues with their lives even when they're home from wars, and you keep wondering which war is the better one. Apparently none is good.
