I just now found this poem at the top of the list for the Nature category. It certainly is apropos and I've been trying to do all of the things suggested for a very long time.
But most people are not. That's why, today, 20 years later, I have written a poem entitled, Should Be Ashamed. And posted it here.
Thank you for your part reminding us what is important. It cannot be said more often and loud enough. If our children want to inherit this earth, we have to change and clean up the mess we created.Great poem!
What a co incidence, you and me land up writing on the same topic , i saw this heading on the same list as mine in the popular list at the side now. yours was done very many years ago, mine just came up, save our planet, it can viewed in the side column on the top today. J K Roseline
They're widening the highway around here, and the wild turkeys now pad through mounds of dirt in a blast area. Not to mention the other wildlife being killed regularly for the needs of Day Walkers. It's too bad that society sees the need to recycle and go green, but doesn't realize that the Earth would benefit from a staggered work force instead of building more highways and destroying resources because too many people have day hours. I'm glad you're spreading the word, Amber! Keep these messages coming:)

It's a good message for today's youth who are bombarded by too many products BUT what the Earth needs saving from is US, and our convenience orientated lifestyle!
