I am reminded of Cat Stevens's old song: Moonshadow... obviously you know of this song... Then of course there is the old CCR hit, which you allude to, but I don't "foresee terrible trouble" tonight, and I am of your mind to let the energy of this spectacular heavenly body suffuse us and liberate us as we await the opportunities that lie ahead with the ushering in of the new moon in a few days to come. As I wait for that supermoon to come into view tonight, I'll be thinking of your poem and the "wealth of the moon's magic!"

Be at peace amid the "weariness, the fever and the fret"...

The moon has a powerful influence on us, as shown by the menstrual cycle. We all feel a little bit more alive when the moon is full. However, I don't think this, “super” moon is any different from any inferior full moon. Nice hype though.

I asked my partner to photograph this wonderful moon last night. Unfortunately, it hadn't risen before we went to bed. We slept and I plum forgot to ask her to take the picture in the middle of the night. Thanks for reminding me to try to catch it tonight.
