He offered his help
his bravery and ultimately his life
he fought in battle
lost an arm, a leg and some friends
a selfless sacrifice he made
to give you and I the freedoms
we enjoy everyday
yet, we don't remember him everyday...
(On a political note: Please vote for the one you know will fight to keep and preserve those freedoms--in honor of the volunteers--and not the one whose claims are only words and backed by the devil and his evil ways. Every vote counts.)

They just fade away
words echoed my a famous General
who is now just a thought, a memory dwelling
within our minds, hearts and sold
Love & peace be with you
William

Not just when convenient, but every day we should honor those who serve our Nation - beautiful, poignant reminder. This daughter/sister/niece/cousin of Veterans, as well as a Veteran, herself, thanks YOU for remembering sacrifices made/paid by them and their families.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
