Awakening early, just before dawn, the sunrise at Campelot is completely enchanting! Let me take you there ....

Fresh and fragrant, the gentle breeze off the lake Envelops me like an old friend Enticing me like a temptress To the quiet beach where shadows still linger! There’s barely a ripple on the lake Where reflections of dawn mesmerize And yet, a soft hiss against the shore Whispers good morning! The sky, intermingled shades of cerise Painted upon feathery clouds Against warm powder blue… A magnificent heavenly vista! And I am a willing captive of the dawn! My soul overflows with serenity My heart soars with hope And my eyes are spellbound By nature’s incredible gifts! © Annabel Sheila

I do and have always loved early morning. If, in my imagination, I were sitting on the pier with a cup of hot coffee, I would be seeing and hearing all that you so lovingly describe in these beautiful words.

Dawn. More beautiful than sunset, although I am sure many will disagree. Dawn. Getting the juices roiling inside the bloodstream. Getting ready for the day. A day that will be a happy one, or a day filled with fraught. It is entirely up to you, baring problems unrelated to you, but still will affect you. But the dawn, like the one you described here, Anna, helps the mental attitude for the rest of the day. Good write.
