The trees are all dressed in splendid gowns of startling colours! Truly a spectacle to behold!

Poem Artwork

Flashes of orange, crimson and gold
Startling colours to behold!
Brilliant brush strokes on the trees
Mother Nature deigns to please.
Dazzling sunlight warms the days
But heat is waning in its rays.
Chilling breezes sweep the land
The changing season is at hand.
Daylight hours fading fast
Lingering evenings will not last!
Soon drying leaves will tumble and fall
Then old man winter will come to call!

A fine seasonal offering, Anna. I love the way it flows; most apt and timely as well. Love and best wishes,

There is something about the changing seasons that makes a person want to write a poem about them. Well done.

It would be nice if the temps we have in the fall
we could have all year round...just a thought.
Enjoyed, Annabel.

Beautiful phrasing about my favorite season… One that I miss very much as summer blends into a drab winter here in South Texas. Only the wildflowers of spring excite me here.

The autumn season has always been my favorite. The lilting, poetic nature of your poem describes the season so succintly that I feel as if I am there enjoying the splendor of the colors with you. The photo you chose shows us the beauty of the leaves changing and is so beautiful! Well done, my friend.

No one loves and celebrates the seasons more beautifully than you. That love shows through in your writings.

Golden sun to golden, crimson, orange colours of the fall season.
Beauty of the season expressed marvelously in your poem.

Bring old Man Winter on, but maybe it won't be the coldest winter on record, we don't need that. I sure am enjoying these nice cool days (for the most part) here in the swamp.

That Old Man Winter is definitely on the way,
Thanks for prompting me to get out there, today.
