Just spent a fabulous weekend in the little bunky in the woods....there is nothing like it! Let me take you there....

Poem Artwork

It’s quiet here now, the only sound
The gentle rustle of dry leaves
Stirred by a brisk November breeze
And the softly crackling embers
Of the inviting fireplace within.
Wispy curls of smoke spiral heavenward
From the cosy little bunky
Tucked into the trees
Like its part of the forest!
And down in the gently sloping meadow
Where soaring golden grasses
Sashay like ripples on a lake
Evening shadows linger…
And I am captivated
For just beyond the line of ghostly birch
Deer cavorting with complete abandon!
Their freedom is palpable, their joy infectious!
And the sigh comes right from my soul!
For here in this peaceful place
My vision is always crystal clear!

Anna,
Crystal clear your vision of November heavenward whispy
curls of smoke. Breezes to a whif and rustle of leaves. The little 'bunky' a cozy fire in the hearth, quilts to snuggle
and hot chocolate. To warm our hearts today.
Wonderful poem sigh comes right from your soul.

Annabel, You take us through the woods, smelling the crisp air and the wood burning in the fireplace. We can feel it and smell it as it touches all of our souls while twilight rushes in...

Oh, Anna! You took me there with you and I must say that I am enchanted with the glorious sights before my eyes. You have written this poem SO well that I am sure many will feel as if they have experienced your foray into the brisk November breezes, enjoying the coziness in a bunky that is tucked into the trees. I will save this one and read it many, many times... it is that good!

Isn't it wonderful how being close to nature heightens the senses and makes us feel much more alive! Your poem had me thinking of fond memories out hunting in the chill of November air or watching deer cavort on one of my forays to Brazos Be¢nd.

Thank you, Anna, for taking me to the little cozy little bunky. The title of this beautiful poem is very apropos, in that I was able to see with you this almost quaint little place. That, and your descriptions of the grasses, the ghostly birches and the fun time the deer was having. I'll carry that vision with me the rest of the day I am positive.

How lovely, Anna. This sounds, and looks to be the quiet, special place to go when one needs to come close to the wonders of our earth and regain the spirit of our life.
Your friend; Mark
