Doubting very much to see colorful leaves this year...summer was scorching.

Poem Artwork

Leaves growing tired
Of summer's heat
Ready to expire-

Some will be spray-painted
In vivid colors
Reds, oranges, yellows

Touch of light purple-

Yawning, brilliant colors
Turning pale ready for
A l-o-n-g winter's sleep

Slowly dying...falling down

Living here in the Middle East, we don't have autumn as such, so I really enjoyed your poem, its images and the reminder (a kind of childhood reminder) of what autumn is all about with its aura of seasonal end and flaming colors. Thank you. John

Beautiful the colours of the fall season.
Leaves are the life of a season remembered.

I kind of hate seeing them go as my back bedroom borders a local park and the leaves let me know when it is windy or raining...but I kind of look forward to the winters cold and snow...I can still talk to the trees, they are always there...-e-

Our leaves are starting to "turn"....and fall. It seems they rally before they do fall.

Love ya!

all depends on the speed of change, insensible speed of the seasonal change. A dynamic summer-autumn-winter's piece, however. Cheers, alex

Oh, I for one, am eagerly awaiting cooler weather, even knowing a hard winter is forthcoming.
