I wish to share this offering with all the moms on AuthorsDen and throughout the world. I did not get to know my mother very well but I am in awe of what she had to accomplish. I send you my love, peace, respect and honor on your day.
Happy Mother's Day (rhyming acrostic)
Heaven must have brought you here And I wish to send you love Peace as well and hearty cheer Prayers you’re most worthy of You, a mother, are most dear
May your special day remind Of the worth you represent Trust all your children are kind Honor this special event Each stands in awe of your might Respecting all that you've meant
'Star mom you shine forth so bright
Devotion you have displayed Always seeking what is right Your blessings will never fade
Mother's are special and should be held so close to our hearts. They are very wise and if we just listen to them, we would make half of the mistakes we sometimes make. They work hard to keep our homes clean, feed us and make sure we have all that we need. I lost my mom when I was 16 and God do I miss her, even after all these years!
The poem is wonderful and would surely make mothers happy and beaming with pride. Thanks for writing it and sharing it with mothers (and non-mothers) everywhere.
The flow in this poem seems off for me in the second stanza when I read it. I think it is the third line in that second stanza that ruins it.

This is so special, Regis, and even though it is not Mothers' Day in the UK, I shall "claim it" anyway as a welcome addition to the appreciation of my motherhood and of the mother status of every one of us everywhere!! Mothers aren't "born", they are hormonally created and I don't think a woman is ever the same once that chemical makeup has been brought about in her own body.
