A Lady From Maine

There once was a lady from Maine
She wanted to travel to Spain
She sold her pet goat
To get on a boat
Where she met a goatherder named Zane

Hi Reg (smiles), the woman obviously made a decision as to what would make her happy, and that's selling her goat and going to Spain. Zane would probably have to make do with what was left, the goat from Maine. Joke, joke, joke! Funny and concise limerick. Ron, you're the best!

Smiles,
Sheri

LOL, this is so witty, Regis! Love it! The drawing really makes it come to life, too. Myself, I would take cold old Maine, lol. Poor Miss Maine.....if only she kept that goat, Zane would have been head over heels in love then, lol! :)

As I read this, I grab my horse's mane! This limerick is the perfect example of going the long haul, go 501 miles to reach your goal. Too many quit at mile 500, and going that one more extra mile makes all the difference in the world...like her, she put her goat up for sale too soon. Zane, the goatherder may have been her lifelong mate and they could have raised goats together! That's my point! Be well, Regis.

Love,
Sage

Brrrrrr. This is totally delightful, you two...

I once had a pet goat named Amos
His passion for cherries was famous
To reach the branches he climbed
Top a convertible so fine
Fell through, we were mad, can you blame us?

This is insane that she's going to Spain, as you would lay claim, meet up with a guy, by a weird name like Zane. Had she stayed in Main, she could have taken the train, and had she done that I would bet, she could have, kept her pet goat instead.....
By the way, what kind of boat, that doesn't take a goat, they transport sheep and cattle don't they? That's what I heard say.
You are a riot Regis, that's all I wanted to say, oh yes, and Oley!!!
