Some of you asked for it... ...Lol!!!

Poem Artwork

Say What...?!?

A gal in a black velvet dress
Came into my store for some cress;
But as I had none,
She pulled out a gun,
And of my store made quite a mess.

I recently met Tinkerbell,
She has coaxed me out of my shell.
We are good together,
No matter the weather;
And we love to wander in the dell.

There once was a cat named Hurley,
Whose fur was long and curly.
His mistress loved him,
And to his every whim,
She catered though he was quite surly.

A stranger from deep outer space,
Came to Earth to meet the human race.
He found it quite scary,
And he did not tarry.
He soon disappeared without a trace.

My friend's dog is a giant poodle,
With his nose he likes to doodle.
He's a smart canine friend,
On whom she can depend;
He knows how to use his noodle.

I met a lass at the arcade
I offered her some lemonade.
She spiked it with whiskey,
That made her quite frisky;
So I led her to a forest glade.

There once was a fellow from Brooks,
Who enjoyed the company of crooks.
One day he was caught,
Hung, and left to rot,
And eaten by a flock of rooks.

There once was a farmer named Foisy,
Who lived in the town of Boise.
He grew no potatoes,
But many tomatoes;
This Foisy from Boise was noisy.

If you met my sweet Tinkerbell,
You'd understand why in love I fell.
She is so delightful;
She is never spiteful,
And she lets me tinker with her bell.

A most delightful nurse named Bo,
Asked me to take a placebo.
Since I did not know,
I did not say no;
We then conferred in her gazebo.

great Regis. So many limericks. It's hard work to write one. Loved There once was a cat named Hurley
These petted animals can look surly as if they want to say - let me be a wild cat so I can hunt in the woods and kill birds and other little creepy crawly things. Thank you for reading my poem, Death of a Species. Laurel

Lotta fun, Reg. Maybe that farmer named Foisy should move to
a town in Joisey where the tomatoes are abundant, plump, and
tasty...and nice to look at too. -gene.

I guess it is the smoothness of the visual, but that first limmerick is somehow cool and pulled off with such aplomb... or should that be, bomb: she is a blonde, after all! :)) Boundless energies here as always, Regis. xx

You made a rookery of literary wizardry. A true story…

I once had an uncle named Fred,
left his family who gave him up for dead.
He grew a fine garden in the city,
sold veggies from his truck, what a pity.
Should've put a price on his head.
