As a writer, it is so important to believe in yourself, to believe that you can write the words that not only please you, but will delight your audience as well. As a writer, it is so important to believe in yourself, to believe that you can write the words that not only please you, but will delight your audience as well.
Yes, there are major players out there; well known authors who sell a lot of books. And that’s great- but their success means that you also can have success. But you must believe it first.
Be proud of your ability. Let people know you write. Be happy about it. Let others know about books or articles you have written. Smile when you talk about it, don’t say things like “Yeah, I wrote something but I’m no Ernest Hemingway.”
The way you speak affects the way you feel, and the way you feel affects what the way you write.
So go easy on yourself and be proud of what you do- you’ll go much further that way.
