Where is your passion? What do you like to write about? What gets you so excited that you just can’t wait to sit down and get going? Okay, then- is that what you’re writing about? Where is your passion? What do you like to write about? What gets you so excited that you just can’t wait to sit down and get going? Okay, then- is that what you’re writing about?
Are you writing on a topic that you love and in a style that you like as well? Because if you are then that enthusiasm will shine through in everything you write- a reader can sense that and then they have the same enthusiasm to read your stuff.
Forcing yourself to write about what does not interest you because somebody else told you “That’s what people like” will also show up in your writing- and the reader will put your book down after the first few pages. They can sense the struggle; they can feel the reluctance.
Write from your heart. Your head will follow and make sense of the words and then you will have written something that a good number of people will pick up- and keep reading.
