Storm brewing In Jerusalem I see a storm brewing in Jerusalem. Where is the Cyrus whom
seeked to bless Israel rather than curse them as Iran's leader has done? Perhaps he should recall the wisemen whom recognized the phrophecy concerning the messiah that shall come through Israel's lineage. I am grateful for all the blessings that I have received in this land of Liberty. Yet I see that our nation has lost its direction in its greatest strength. Their trust in God has been taken over by lust. The love of children, wife, and nation has been bartered away for credit and merchandise that would make author Adam Smith in his book “Wealth of nations” blush for our loss of Democracy. Where is the yearning for free time spent through advances in technology. Why has food prices climbed as advances in agriculture has multiplied. The flooding of drugs into our children’s schools and communities has raised a generation who sometimes believe they are being bullied, when in fact their kids are encouraged to achieve good grades. As a writer I pray we all will strive to conquer the hearts and minds of our children through good literature. Maybe then we can draw them all toward a stronger foundation in love, God and country.
