Cold Weather Is everyone else in this arctic wasteland getting as fed up with the weather as I am? I know winter was late arriving....but...it has been so cold, it's absolutely miserable. Usually I don't do too much outdoors in the winter as I hate the cold, but this year decided that it would be nice for all of us to go sledding, just to get outside a little. However, when wind chills make the temperature 20 below there's really nothing you can do outdoors comfortably. It actually injured me last week. I'm outside shoveling the driveway and an area around the car so that I can get into the car comfortably without sliding and getting my feet wet. My husband usually takes care of the shoveling needs, but I was feeling a little frisky and wanted to do it myself. Had I known just how cold it was I would have let him do it. Anyway, my mouth must have been open a little as I was shoveling and my teeth must have gotten really cold because my upper lip stuck to my teeth and pulled a piece of lip skin off (yeah I know it's funny, but it still hurt). It's healed now so maybe I'll go lick a metal pole so that my tongue doesn't feel left out. I shouldn't complain I suppose. Oswego county, which is only about a half hour drive from here has had an awful amount of snow. According to yesterday's newspaper 11 feet 4 inches to be exact. The picture they had showed snow up to the roofs of the houses. I hope they didn't lose their power...now that would be miserable. At the moment the snow is steadily falling and it's supposed to be quite a downfall, so we shall see tomorrow just how much is going to come our way.
