Message from the South Wind 8/3/2008 6:56:07 AM
I was cleaning the yard when it blew across my path, a crinkled sheet of script, faded into yellows where once a hint of blue or green once existed. I opened it carefully, curious to see what the wind had brought me, and viewed the first lines "Dear P, I cannot tell you how much I've missed you. I thought that I would get used to these changes by now, but I miss our talks. I miss the way you'd laugh at all my attempts at jokes. I miss the way you smell after your morning jog, and the way your skin felt when I'd hug you against your will. You always hated being sweaty and intimate at the same time. I miss your touch, the way your hands caressed my body, my breasts, the small of my back pulling me tightly against you as you gripped my face and brought me willingly to your perfect mouth. The perfect kiss. I lost my breath every time we kissed. My knees would crumble under your command. And when we made love, the feel of you all around me, all over me, to open myself to you and leave nothing to your imagination, give myself totally to you. I miss you. These days your coming when I'm going, and life is changing. We can't even schedule our dates anymore. Something always comes up, for both of us. But when we get back in sync, when we get time, I know it'll be like we've never left. I miss you. Have I said that enough? Please write soon. Yours forever, K."
Is time really an excuse? I'm reading and wondering ....
