Play along with me on this one, would you? Just give it a day, a week, however long you can. If you actually do this, e-mail me and let me know how it worked for you, good or bad. I’d be interested to hear your stories. You can contact me through my website (see below). I can’t promise a response if there are many sent, but I’ll promise to read them. But as you’re doing this, pretend you’re believing these new thoughts AS you’re doing it! That is KEY.
So, what if...we all decided to be different. In a good way. What if...we all decided that for a day...a week...a month or more...we were all gonna commit to NOT being lead around by the nose, NOT being affected by negativity...NOT going to be affected by other people’s beliefs about health, having fun, or anything else?
What if...we started out by gently sweeping away those negative thoughts as they entered out minds--or any thoughts we didn’t want to think but found ourselves thinking--and gently replaced them with thoughts we WANTED to believe? Would that be so bad?
No one would know, you know. It would just be between You, Yourself, and Thee.
Of course, others might get suspicious because you’d be so pleasant, walking around with a genuine smile on your face. You’d be cheerful and friendly. Willing to help others see the good side of the day. You know, that kind of thing. They’d be curious about what was making you so happy, and wondering about, huh...why they weren’t.
What would be so wrong with that? Your life might suddenly glow a little brighter? Things might actually start going your way? People you meet...might treat you better? Your blood pressure’d go down. You’d get better sleep.
What would be wrong with that?
And no one would know.
You, Yourself, and Thee.
Everyone knows thoughts affect how we feel (I even read a medical article on it, but can’t find it). We feel good when we think of good things, and lousy when we think of the bad or distasteful. So why live this way? Why pay attention to media negativity and fear and the downside to life? Why not have images in our minds that make us feel good about ourselves, happy?
They (“them”) might call you naïve...but would that be and issue? You know you wouldn’t be, because you know about all the bad out there; it’s everywhere you look...on the news, in movies, in books and magazines and newspapers. Everywhere.
But for now...you’re just choosing to THINK differently.
NOT DWELL on the bad. You’re not ignoring anything...you’re just THINKING DIFFERENTLY ABOUT THINGS.
