Yeah, it’s only a TV show--or will be one--by I’m psyched that Fox Broadcasting is coming out with a mid-season show, called Past Life (see first link below). It’s from David Hudgins, who wrote “Friday Night Lights,” and is inspired by M. J. Rose’s book “The Reincarnationist.” From the website, it’s about “...an unlikely pair of past-life detectives who investigate whether what is happening to you today is the result of who you were before.”
I love it! It’s a topic near and dear to my heart and soul. Finally such “esoteric” topics are being brought more into the public eye! I remember when “The Reincarnation Of Peter Proud,” by Max Ehrlich, and its subsequent movie adaptation made waves, pardon the pun, in the early to mid 70s. And of course there have been other books and movies, and I try to catch them as can, but this will be a television SERIES and I’m REALLY looking forward to it (just like with Medium--love that show, as well!). I hope it’s done well. On that link below is a trailer for it, which looks like it should be okay--hopefully not too hokey.
Exploring such adventures in consciousnesses in a more open public forum should help individuals to look at their own lives. Hopefully others can try to better understand their own fears and foibles and issues in a different light...why a fear of flying or water or heights or intimacy when there is absolutely no discernable reason for any such aversion? Why do we sometime immediately get a feel from someone we meet for the “very first time”? From what are our illnesses really emerging? And, according to another article I read, the show will also delve into PROGRESSION. Future lives. Yes, that’s it, don’t just look behind...look forward!
Now, I’m not saying absolutely everything that is “wrong” with us is the result of a past or future life (if you recall, from a previous post [see first Tiny URL below], I actually believe in simultaneous time, but time, from our Human points of view, is viewed chronologically, hence...), but I feel that all we do in all our multiple existences directly and immediately affects each and every other existence of ours. Nothing is wasted nor goes...unnoticed. So, by changing an action in the present, we may change other “presents” of our other existences...and those actions of yours in those other existences/presences may also change--or give insight or impulse--to the YOU in the current existence. It’s quite the round-robin. It’s all related.
And I ask this: don’t be so quick to sneer and be dismissive. As I’d written in my own (i.e., one I'd WRITTEN; not about MY personal past lives) past-life novel still making the rounds (see Recent News site link, and scroll down to Novel Updates for statuses), were past-life memories to make themselves know, were all this real--isn’t this exactly as they would make themselves known? Through dreams, visions, and predispositions? As in other trains of thought, other philosophies, other religions, how is knowledge made known?
Dreams.
Inspiration.
Visions.
Exactly. So what it comes down to is one’s belief system. But so-called “reincarnation,” or multiple existences, as I prefer to refer to them, can be incorporated into most, if not all religions, philosophies, et cetera. Look at it as more of a structure...a “coat rack” upon which to hang the garments of our beliefs. Many do not give reincarnation the time of day for many reasons, but mainly it seems that there’s no real “proof.” This is not true, and as I have previously posted about Jenny Cockell, and James Leininger (see second Tiny URL link, below). It all depends upon whether or not one is open-minded to accept the proof. Because, again, as I’d mentioned above--if multiple lives truly did exist, isn’t this EXACTLY as they would make themselves known? Specific FACTS, even DRAWINGS were made by those involved.
How much more proof does one need?
How else would others like any such proof to be vetted?
Now, whether or not others can experience similar multiple live experiences is more a matter of becoming more aware of your thoughts and images and dreams and not being so immediately dismissive of them. Not every instance of any of these will be such a lead, there are many other reasons for daydreams, et cetera, but they could guide you in the right direction...if you ask for the information and are open to it.
That’s the short answer.
So, I am psyched about this show, that it’s even done by someone who hadn’t done a paranormal project before, by the looks of things (“Friday Night Lights”), but does have a seemingly profound interest in the exploration of consciousness, and hope it actually makes it to airing and stays a while. Hope it’s gritty, and life like, and as well done as Medium is, but I also hope it doesn’t get “too lost” in the more traditional “science” of it all....
