I am here at the computer, just staring at the screen,
I want to write a poem, but I can’t think of anything.
My mind has drawn a blank, and the words I just can’t find,
I can’t even come up with two simple words that rhyme!
What will all the others think if I don’t post a poem tonight?
Will they think that I have lost it, will they think I’m not too bright?
Or will they even notice if my poem isn’t there?
I’m sure that’s not the case, I’m sure they really care.
Perhaps I’ll just turn off this thing, and forget it for tonight,
If I sleep on it tonight, perhaps tomorrow I can write.
I’m sorry fellow poets, I hope you understand,
I’ll try to put one up for you tomorrow if I can.

Ive done the same thing.. written that I cant write.. tehe.. and there it is! I especially love the personal 'to my fellow poets' way about this.. we really are like a family here.. and you are a refreshing part of that. I love the 3rd verse a lot! katy.

what i have been going thru exactly. i find if i just keep writing, something will usually click but its been awhile and i'm still waiting for the click. i'm in good company i see
