Transcendental Sonnet #1394: Erasers The school year is ending and pencils sell cheap At the gigantic grocery store So I bought a lot of them and stacked them deep In my Grandma's old wooden desk drawer Pencils are things which are very hard to keep Enough of and I always need more Not the pencils actually They last as long for me as anyone It is their erasers you see Which never last to their end once begun Confronted by uncertainty Without erasers I get nothing done Pencils all over the house with their erasers rubbed flat... Who could of thought, lets write about Pencils- cuz,of erasers! Only Steve- A great Poet- YOu move me! I love reading your writings- Great write Steve-very intriguing writing - As for me, I use pens and write notes/startings of writings; written all paper folded in 1/2. and use #'s in sequence, weird but, TRue- I've been gone awhile but, I had to come back- Missed my friends & reading-etc... HuGs 2 U- Lady,Sheee

This is a wonderful little story with a great hidden message I think...we all make mistakes the thing is to have those safety erasers handy so we can correct and move on.

LOL. You must write like I do, Steven. Every eraser in this house has disappeared. I love the form you have chosen for this work. Your couplet sums it all up nicely.
