Among My Tears

Drops to puddled pools won't flow
Rippling visions life to stowe
Reflections cast upon a stone
Stains of memory ever shown

Passion aches in tender due
Blurred by sadness kept from view
Captive to these ducts of tears
Tainted scenes for many years

Oceans formed from swells of shame
Distended eyes with bloodless veins
Rides its' crest and fills the souls
Shattered lives and tales untold

Peace of mind can never be
It's lost among the tears you see
Don't suppress a tender sigh
to let the fears within you die

Paul,

I can relate to this poem, a sensitive soul full of humanity appears through your words and between the lines. The second stanza really speaks to me.

Paul,

This one hints at all the horrible things you must have seen. Awesome imagery throughout. I particularly like the 3rd verse. This poem is filled with feeling and meaning. I also recognize a familiar rhythm here...later to be reborn as a haunting, chilling series of yours. A wonderful offering!
