I'm torn, wondering.
How could I have done it ?
Did I become a machine
with no feeling for life ?

Those cold eyes show fear.
They bleed with thoughts
of your ancestors,
screaming my name to the gods.

Was destiny played by my hand ?
Did you walk into eternity
knowing I had no personnal
gain by your demise ?

My hope is that we shall
meet again in another time
and place. Our bond will be
circumstantial and differences forgiven.

Paul,

This poem makes me think that this is how one must feel when they fight for country/God. Dispatching the enemy for the cause must not happen without guilt of some sort when one has Faith in their heart. Just my impression and my thoughts after reading your words. A fine read indeed! -Sheila

"Left Unknown" developed a deep thought on the subject dealt. It got me flying to through the clouds of my psychobiology - trying to recognize, - (Remember) some of what was left "Left Unknown".

This poem, "Left Unknown" does it job under the rhythm of knowledge and philosophical sounds, instructing and inspire.

Even on a daily basis, with no wars going on, those we love leave
us at one time or another, and we ask ourselves guiltily:
"Is there more I could have said or done?"
Maybe yes, maybe no. But one thing is for certain. We DO have the
opportunity to see these beloved friends and relatives at a future
time. As Lisa said, it is in God's hands.

A powerful and compelling write, really makes you think. The wounds never really heal. Some die in war, all are wounded.

Some say that once you are a warrior in life, you shall remain one in death, and that our enemies will be the same ones. I say that is crazy, my enemy now is time.

I know that many carry those same thoughts Paul. That's part of the sacrifices that one makes when fighting war. All will be fine, you just have to have the faith to hand it God and let Him help you through. Touching write. Lisa
