No more rain in heaven
It stopped raining
The breeze driven
By soft zephyers
Are cooling the moist air
That I inhale
The sun beats down hard
Burning my sholders
Bewteen the clouds.

The palm trees
Fanning themselves dry
Fowls leaving their perch
Testing their new dry wings
The cloudburst continues
A distance away.

Rolling thunder reminds you
It won't be your last
Yet the skies around the sun
Stay gray.

Moving slowly along the way
The pinos and the oaks
Survive once again
Their branches reaching
High.

Towards the heavens
Thanking the lord
They've come to know
As The Man.
