Just sitting on a porch

Sitting on a porch

Somewhere along the east coast

Of East Cup Cake, U S A

I relax with my eyes close

Still alert of my surroundings

Rocking on a chair

Soaking

What, naturally comes my way

But inspiration hasn’t

In the past few days.

I can hear children

Stepping off a school bus

Playing and singing kids songs

Skipping and hopping

Out of my sight

Along

Their way home.

The warm sun

Is soothing my face

Ever so lovingly

In between burst

Of mountain chill winds

Reminding me old man winter

Is approaching rapidly.

The days are shorter

The shadows

That follow me around

Are getting longer

On the ground.

Dry leafs of autumn

Swirl gracefully in the wind

Like a mini vortex

In the clear sky was a promise

Of a bright beautiful

Full moon

Nature feeding me inspiration

As a nursing mother

Breast feeds her child...

You, me your porch, two rocking chairs, a cooler full of Coors, and Father Winter after a while will not bother us none. Nothing beats shooting the wind with a brother. Skål! ! !

I can feel the breeze and warmth of your beautiful words. To relax and just take in all the sights and not have anywhere to go, how lovely. I wish I could be right there with you, rocking to the melody of our heartbeats..
Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"

Hello William,

This is beautiful, like the great American classic poetry of Frost, picturesque and soothing, a "rocking chair" clamness that lulls us to inspiration.

Pretty picture you painted here. Isn't it a little cold to hang out on the porch, though?
