On a busy street
Within a modern town
With an exploding
Population
Waiting patiently
For the changing
Of a light of traffic
To allow the continuation
Of my journey.
I spied a miracle of life
As I wondered
Why the traffic was not
Flowing
The green favored me.
Than they waddled
Ever so gingerly
Into my sight
A mama duck
With no less than a dozen
Cute tiny ducklings
Crossing the busy Intersection
Without a care in the world.
Mama guided them
Knowing who would Ever dare
That glorious scene
Will reside within
My heart and soul
An eternity
For me to share
With the world.
I'VE ALWAYS SAID THERE'S SOMETHING SO SPECIAL ABOUT MAMAS...GUESS IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT FEELS THIS WAY. GREAT PICTURE AND STORY. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
This is a poetic show-stopper. So are the little ducks! Sometimes we need to just stop and take time out to see new life that God has provided all around us. Well done my friend. Amen!
Such a lovely poem and each verse captivated the readers imagination
of the Ducklings, that was a wonderful site to see. Keep writing those well prose poems.
Thanks to Ducks Unlimited and reasonable on the seasons, the ducks are back and could care less if humans are hanging around their old digs for the last few thousand years.
