A high percentage of Somali population is within the age-bracket of 14- 19 years. These teenagers were born when the country slid into anarchy and civil strife and don't know at all what peace and stability means. They are an easy prey to terror institutions which recruit them for their covert operations in Somalia and in the world in general. if the world does not help us stabilize our country, Somalia shall be a terrorist hotbed in the near future.

Terrorism is your future
So true Abdinoor. in fact, 27% of the Somali population is in this age bracket! This large group, if left alone, can do a lot to hurt wold peace in general and Somalia's stability in particular. Because of globalisation, the world is such a small place and these folks who know no peace are suitable recruits for AlQaeda. That is why the organisation attempted to establish base in Somalia. It is wise for the world community not to ignore Somalia. Thank you Abdinoor for this wonderful piece. Stay safe!

How sad, scary, and true, Abdi-Noor. The world and its leaders live in a world of their own, without a clue of how common people live, love and survive, or do not survive. I would say how has the world come to this, but I fear it has almost always been this way. We can only pray and try our best to help, and to change things. Exceptional write.
Such a sad state of affairs, Abdi-Noor. I don't think that any country can come into Somalia and stabilize it without a major war, which will only kill more people. There are too many "chiefs" in Somalia who keep surfacing and taking over the government and the only way to rid your coutry of this would be for the UN to send in forces. Either way, it is very difficult and leaves little hope for the young people in your country. I think the saddest part is there can either be war now or war later, but I fear that war will once again rip through your country. I keep you, your family and your country in my prayers.
