A tale of the love-hate relationship we have with nuclear weapons of mass destruction

If for one second
You think I like
What is shaping up into a nuclear
Love-hate relationship
Then please I beg you all to read
This tale of nuclear proliferation
For it is not just oil and greed
That causes us to attack Iraq
As you will see from my facts

In 30 months Iran’s Busheir Nuclear Reactor
Will have been operational for a year
At which point they will extract enough
Weapons grade plutonium to be a factor
Fifty or more warheads is not too tough
To build at Busheir

Now this will lead the Syrians to rant
“Hey I want a bomb making factory of my own
Right here next to my desalination plant”
With their eyes pointed at both Iran and Iraq
They will build a nuclear nightmare
As their nuclear power supplies cause us to stare

Now lets go take a look at another arab nation
All alone on the African Continent, Egypt
With its heart bleeding and a mouth full of salivation
Crying, “we cannot be third and risk losing face
As the others wipe out the entire Human race”
So by 2010, Egypt’s Al-Dhab’a power station
Will start to create
One hundred or so Nuclear Warheads
Essentially sealing man’s fate

Now if you think I am done
Let’s take a look at the Saudi’s
They paid the bill for Pakistan, not to have fun
But instead they built the Kahuta Nuclear power plant
And the Saudi’s reward for such a generous gift
Is nothing less than their own
Nuclear warheads to give them a lift

But wait I’m still not done
For now I want you to look at Turkey
And their friends the Israeli’s
Who would gladly help them build
A nuclear power plant in return for
A long held fantasy of security

Now on we go thousands of miles away
To take a look around the Asian Countries
Starting with North Korea
Who is perpetuating a sneak attack
On the Nonproliferation Treaty
If their dreams should ever become a reality
Then it is only a short leap
For Taiwan and Japan to say,
“Hey look at me,
I’ve got my own nuclear reactors too
So now I have to build a bomb or two
I can’t just lie here in the grass
While Korea shoves its nuclear fist up my ass”

I hope by now you see
Why we must go through our plans
Attacking Iraq is where we have to be
Or else this house of cards we’ve built our dreams on out of fear
Will collapse and all of humanity will disappear.

In repsonse to Flower Powers review I felt I left something out. It is not my desire to start a war with anyone. But to point out what can happen if countries do not adhere to the nuclear nonproliferation treaty. The best way to get to full nuclear disarmament is to eliminate the need for nuclear power all together. If you noticed in my diatribe in each and every case the weapons are only possible because of nuclear energy plants. But current technology has not found an affordable energy to replace nuclear. Nuclear weapons need to be eradicated from the planet before we have a nuclear nightmare. Or my little scenario will come to pass.
