This was the Christmas my only son was missing (92). The detectives had told us to go to Utah as planned and, as you read, being around the grandkids DID cheer me up. True story, of course.
*********************
Al likes making wooden toys
for our grandkids—girls and boys.
One daughter lived on a farm
and in their bull … they found charm.
So Al made a bull … rocking.
Whitney, then four, was quite smart
and spoke her mind. Bless her heart.
It was Christmas … no pre-school.
Kids are very had to fool …
she bent over—was looking.
“Grandpa, I hate to tell you
but this bull’s missing a few
things underneath.” Oh, good grief!
“He is missing a bull’s sheath.”
All the adults were blushing.
“He’s also missing his balls.”
The men were laughing … guffaws.
“It wasn’t in the plans, Hon.
That’s the way THIS bull is done.”
“Poor thing, he’ll do no mating!
Grandpa, love this, it is cool
but …this is a cow … no BULL!”

Sandy, you never disappoint your readers and admirers and this descriptive piece is an exceptionally humorous one because of your poetic talent. Kids see and say the funniest things, and that’s No Bull!” Thanks for sharing the laughs my friend. Take care and be well.
Homer's Ill Iliad & Odd Sea Odyssey (420 pages) is an adult satire/parody rewrite of the classic stories of the 10 year Trojan War and of the 10 year adventure of Odysseus trying to return home to his native Ithaca.
Humorous, delightful, wonderful - a super and enjoyable write!
