Should I Tell?

People have long been known to exaggerate (or outright lie) to penpals, blind dates, etc. Age doesn't matter if one is prone to this behavior :)!

Poem Artwork

Should I tell my sweetheart
my teeth are in a dish?
Should I keep in guessing
that my picture’s remiss?
I sent him a sweetie
from my Sears catalog.
I feared if he saw me
he would flee the country

Should I tell my sweetheart
the truth about my age?
Should I leave him wanting
someone who isn’t sage?
I framed that cut-out well.
My wrinkles rival hogs.
He’s coming in a spell.
Says first he’s washing well.

Should I tell my sweetheart
I’m as blind as a bat?
Should I play as “grandma”
until he hangs his hat?
He sent me a picture
though was slow … hemmed and hawed.
Told Beau I was richer
shorter, a school teacher.

Should I tell my sweetheart
I lie well? It’s an art.

I agree, friends should be honest with one another.
Some people you just can't take serious.
I try to be a nice person, but sometimes I just get
too busy.

Aaaaawwwww!!!!! That is a question you must answer for yourself. Heeeheee!!!!!! I don't think that people should send anything that don't belong to them to another whom they consider friends. Friends should be honest with each other. Don't you think so?
