early spring
laughing and racing the rain
from dune to dune

after the rain
cherry tree filled with blossoms
and birdsong

midsummer squall
the ocean slaps the shore
one wave at a time

clear night
the earth's shadow
on the moon

autumn night
campfire ashes flicker
among the stars

tasting winter
catching snowflakes
on his tongue
