I didn't give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you... A Mother's day blessing... ~Lily of Lough Neagh~

 A Mother’s Day Gift

Passions surged within their souls
their love pulled them together magnetically
auras bright as light beams reached unto the heavens
All eyes were upon them with gentle smiles

They turned to her and said,
”your vessel awaits green eyes…
time draws near and you have seen a glimpse
and your path will be difficult”

You will be a gift for you are filled with love,
yet a glimpse has been shown and you will be taught
the meaning of love before it is taken from you
on your walk down the path

Many tears will be shed, many pains will be felt,
but of this you will learn compassion and giving
your experiences will be a gift to those who suffer
for you will be their comforter and loving friend

You have been chosen because you are a strong soul
you have stood with the rest of the old ones
and unto them whom will choose you…
you will be their gift they have long waited for

You will give them great joy
they will dub you Carol of the Gaelic “champion”
Of the English “song” as your vessel is Gaelic
and your seed a song of love

"and your seed is a song of love" - such is the true definition of Mother in every sense of the word. May every child of whatever age and state of maturity be gifted with such a champion and comforter as I believe we have become a world of motherless children, largely (judging by our behaviour). And may every 'motherless ancient' have a child/junior who can be to them the mother/father to the (wo)man. Motherhood in many capacities is a gift that all are hungry for. xx

Stirring words to celebrate this special day set aside for the mothers of the words. Your words are carved out of experience and a life of learning with some hurting and pain, but eventually much joy. I liked this "different" Mother's Day poem very much. You are an exceptional person.
