Oh Sure.

Oh sure, she’s out there…
My perfect soul mate,
My mirror.
She just wants to listen
To Buddy Rich and eat cottage cheese.
Nothing like an entire night
On the roof in a sleeping bag
Under electric blankets
Watching the Leonid meteor shower.
And of course she can’t get enough
Of the kind of sex that makes her
Wonder if I am human.
It doesn’t matter
That we have seen this episode
Of CSI Miami 5 times already,
We just love the retarded guy
And the touching ending.
It is just fine to walk out
Of a movie theater with some
Guy who is bawling his eyes out.
It’s cute.
Flowers are not boring.
If it’s not sex…
It’s Frisbee.
If I’m working late
It’s because disabled clients need me,
And I love you so much
I wish I could give you this
Service to God and pay your ticket
To Heaven.
Maybe I am.
Love poems are an honor,
I have to tell you I love you
All the time.
All the time.
Oh sure, she’s out there…
The SETI dating service
Will track her down for me…
Oh sure.
