Just a little smile for my fellow AD'ers.
I've been struggling to find inspiration (probably because I'm working too hard) If you read below I think you'll agree...

Poem Artwork

Some say it is a dog's life
and for a pampered pooch
this may be true
but what about the rest of us?
What's a working dog to do?

I'd like to belong to Mel Gibson
take morsels from his plate
be tickled on the tummy
I'd be his bestest mate.
A scratch along my back
would make my tail end wag
Imagine the possibilities
(and try hard not to gag)
I don't think I'd like dog food
but stars get special stew
I've heard about a pet hotel
giving treatments & shampoo
Where each dog has a room
and a bed of finest down.
The temperature's kept constant
so no need for pets to frown.
Do you think if I look cute
look at him with puppy eyes
that Mel will take me home with him
or would he see through my disguise?

Oh, to be a dog! Sounds like you are dog-tired and need some TLC, Chanti. This is adorable (like Mel)...

Very clever write, Chanti. I am not certain you could pull off the disguise, but if you appeared as yourself I can bet you could charm the pants off of him...umm that didn't quite come out right...well, maybe it did. (laffin')
Take care,
Sherry

Why would anyone as lovely as you try to disguise herself?
I think ol' Mel would take YOU in place of a puppy, any time!
If he didn't...I would consider him to be a dunderhead.

Ah, levity is they name, or sumptin' lak dat. Cute poem and, juding from your photo, Chanti, I feel that you need not go into the puppy-wuppy disguise, old Mel beging the red-bloodied male that he is.

Well, I wish I were Mel if that's the way you put it. I'd make sure you get the best doggie food and a beautiful dog house (he can afford it) lol. Seriously though, you manage to keep your chin up and share humor while obviously being overworked and somewhat stressed. That's pretty fantastic in my book, Chanti. Thanks for sharing this and for bringing on a smile. Much love to you. Regis

very cute poem, Chanti, and if you don't mind my saying so, if your were as beautiful a dog as you are a person, you'd no problems getting Mel to take you home ;)
