Confession of a past Lover !

That's Life!

I don’t wonder very much about life
Anymore, whether it has meaning or not
I leave for the philosophers to ponder.
I find the whole exercise futile and exhausting !
This I know for sure, I exist, therefore I shall
Try to make the best of it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

So far it’s been one hell of a coaster ride
With it’s ups and down,
I have loved and lost many times
And found that it is better to have loved
And lost than have no love at all !

Women have always been a delight to me
And they still are .As a matter of fact, I find
Them very challenging, which makes life interesting.
Without them life would be just plain dull !

But I have always think as a warrior
when I am dealing with them, yessir,
and I found that the prize is always worth the effort
at least most of the time.
For they are harder to conquer
than a band of crazy headhunters!

You have to be firm and assertive
with them and show them who’s the boss!
Who wears the pants Yessir, and…….
Oh!, Oh ! here she comes ,
I guess I will have to leave for now,
And I hope she’s in a good mood, yessir,
for I forgot to do the dishes !

Very good, Michael! I especially like your touch of humor in the end. Like you, I prefer simply to do my best each day: niether considering yesterday nor fretting about tomorrow--One is gone, never to be repeated; and, the other has yet to be, might not even be...perhaps.
