Snow/Rain Line…

See the pink on the map?

That is where Rufuz and I live, in that gap,

Between the rain and the snow,

But the snow on our door does rap…

Prefer it to be snow, does Rufuz,

Loves it to play in, run around does he and glow,

With the coat he has, snow could remain all summer,

He says he surely doesn’t mind, for me would be a bummer…

Still cold enough for him today, yesterday in the low sixties,

Today in the mid thirties, hard to understand how that happens,

But not for long will these cold breezes still have their hold,

For cold winter winds, snow, sleet, will soon meet their match, I am told…

I get to work in the snow again this day,

As my route takes me further north into the white,

Hoping that it will be light and early go away,

But either way, it may be winters last gasp,

Better to at least see it, to go out and take a grasp,

Of snow in my hand, and keep that memory,

Till next winters season returns to haunt us, again to clasp…
