Deluge…

Okay so it isn’t so much a deluge,

But we surely got rain, coming down with a passion,

Glad to see, even though we got warmth,

Rain is still not out of fashion…

Can always use we can, especially with controlled burns in the barrens,

Those controlled burns are what seem to spark the big forest fires,

Maybe not here in New Jersey, but in the western states last summer,

Fortunately not that dry here, we get more than our share of wet…

So allow me a little poetic license, when herein I say, we are having a deluge,

Fortunately Rufuz had his walk, as did I, getting time for bed,

Love to listen to the rain on the roof, as long as it is not too loud & too long,

It is basically just a heavy shower right now, puts me to sleep, herein I will end,

So have a good night, dream happy dreams, will see you tomorrow, for now so long…
