Summer approaches, my writes lean toward more shore related Nature ones...
I am sure Katy doesn't mind :)

Poem Artwork

Well Worn Path to the ocean Beyond...

Well used it is, this path to the ocean,

Hard to miss, foot prints, paw prints & tire tracks, only motion,

Sitting on the beach today with sun so warm, all using lotion,

Slightly cooling off the water breeze,

Ocean itself only 45 degrees (F)…

Fisherman waiting for a strike,

Little tykes trying to ride their bikes,

Sand and ocean good for all our numerous likes,

Onto the beach two four-wheel drive machines do go, not right…

For fisherman to fish from and keep warm, I think they should know,

What destruction their vehicles cause, as there is no road,

They say, “But the state does allow driving on the sand!”

As always, they know better than Mother Nature, arrogant man…

Sky so blue, puffy clouds,

Quiet is the beach right now,

The summer will bring on the crowds,

Boats off the beach, catching fish, feeding seagulls,

Waiting out endless lulls…

My time again is over, to the beach and ocean I bid farewell,

Must again leave my favorite place to go home to where I dwell,

But herein can you read, about my favorite place, yes, I do tell,

I hope you found this Nature write to be one that I have excelled…
