April’s Monsoons…

No way will flowers be the result of this rain,

More like a permanent moat instead of the plain,

That has been here since I moved in, now we have no way to drain,

All this water off of our lots and streets, I guess we just have to complain…

Nowhere for the water to go, no space in the water table, under the ground,

The creek across the street overflowing, soon we will be knowing,

Just how it is to swim, row or quite frankly even drown…

I am not herein really complaining, as I stated in a previous write, I would not,

But damn if it isn’t hard, not to make a bit of a bitch, when everywhere else the weather is hot,

Since when does NJ get all this rain, thought it was Seattle or Portland, but apparently not,

We will, as always survive, but it sure seems like we may float away, but tomorrow is another day…

With high tides on the beachfront, and all this rain coming down from the clouds,

I can see that my hometown may be in a heck of a situation, flooding keeps away the crowds,

Okay, I got it all out, I think, at least, this time and I did it without being too loud,

Hope you don’t mind, my venting my disgruntled-ness, as I have to get it out somewhere,

I don’t want to put it out and blame anyone, as that would be something I would not be proud…
